About Us

The Origin

I never set out to write a four-volume poetry collection.

It began with individual poems written during seasons when I was trying to understand experiences I struggled to put into words. At the time, I was simply writing what I needed to write.

Over time, the poems began to reveal relationships to one another. What first appeared to be separate pieces gradually formed a larger story—one that helped me recognize what I had lived through and understand it more clearly.

Rather than forcing conclusions, the poems made room for questions. They became a place where difficult experiences could rest before they were fully understood.

Only later did I realize that those individual pages belonged together. What had begun as private moments of writing had quietly become Petals to Pages—a four-volume poetry cycle gathered one page at a time.

The Studio

The Studio

Evett Michelle Studios is the environment where every project begins. Poems, essays, workshops, and creative works are given the time and space to unfold before they are shared with the world.

Every work is shaped through reflection, creative discipline, and respect for lived experience. Language is explored, structure is built, and each project is allowed to reveal its own shape—because just as people need space to grow, the creative process does as well.

The result is work that invites others to pause, recognize what matters, hold on to what gives them life, and let go of burdens that were never theirs to begin with.

Our Philosophy

We believe writing can do more than tell stories.

It can hold space for questions before answers and make room for people while they are still making sense of what they have lived through.

Sometimes the first act of writing is simply holding space.

Our Vision

Building Places With Words

My vision is to create books that people return to throughout different seasons of life—books that help readers make sense of what they’ve lived through while offering room for reflection and quiet discovery long after they’ve been read.

As the studio grows, I hope that vision extends beyond books into creative works and environments that invite people to pause, explore, reconnect with themselves, and discover more of who they are.

The Publisher

Once a work created through Evett Michelle Studios is complete, it is entrusted to its literary home—Word Inspired Ink Publishing—for publication and stewardship.

Poet. Architect. Observer.

For me, writing has never been about having all the answers. It has been about creating places where lived experience can be explored with honesty, curiosity, and care.

I create under the name Evett Michelle, bringing together poetry, reflection, and creative design with intention. I rarely begin with a complete picture. More often, I begin with a single page, trusting that over time the larger story will reveal itself.

Petals to Pages is the first expression of that vision, but it is only one part of a broader creative journey.

I write to build places with words—because no one should have to make sense of life in isolation.
